Dancing Petals has been presenting Kathak performances and imparting traditional Kathak education in Chicagoland since last 12 years. Today, they will be presenting traditional Kathak and some experiments using the vocabulary of Classical Indian dance to explore new spaces of expression. Dancing Petals has organized Kathak events and has participated in numerous programs organized by entities like SEWA, ASHA for education, Vedic Cultural Society, SeeChicagoDance, City of Chicago Summer Dance, Indian Counslate and so on.
